Howdy!
My name is Allie, and I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Chef from Massachusetts! I grew up here but have since lived all around the country.
My journey began in Vermont, where I worked my first job as an RD. While living there, I discovered a passion for locally grown produce and immersing myself in the local food scene. Eventually, I felt the urge to live in a larger city where I could meet more chefs, try new foods, and live a more social life while doing so.
In 2020, I moved down to Austin, TX. This move exponentially increased my culinary skills, as I was able to learn from and work with incredible chefs of all different cuisines. I continued working as an RD until I built the courage to start my first culinary business, Allicin Nutrition—a personal chef service for clients all around Austin. I was able to grow my network, work with Edible Austin magazine, and build a business that served 40+ clients weekly. Scroll down to see some of those meals!
While I loved my first business, I began to stray away from why I became a chef. I was working long hours in a commercial kitchen and spending full days delivering meals. I started to lose the zest that cooking once gave me.
I made the difficult decision to close Allicin Nutrition and pursue a year of nomadic living around the country with my incredible partner, reconnecting with my why. Throughout this time, I taught others to improve their relationship with food, eat nutritiously, and learn to cook restaurant-quality meals at home.
During this nomadic era, I chose to do a little bit of food research on various cuisines around the U.S. We found some of our new favorite meals in New Orleans, Savannah, Charleston, Key West, Miami, Dallas, Boulder, Golden, and Denver before finally making our way back to New England.
Arriving home has been a homecoming in many ways. I’ve returned to Boston—and to my love for nourishing others. I’m coming home to this passion in a new, more grounded way. Instead of making hundreds of meals and driving hundreds of miles weekly, I’m coming to your home.
I’m slowing it down to give you all the nourishment, passion, and creativity I have.
Outside of the kitchen, I’m a freak in the spin studio, I spend almost every waking minute with my corgi, Am plotting a new tattoo, and I love to read books of infinite genres. You’ll likely spot me in the wild at Life Alive, Whole Foods, or in the woods. My favorite foods are poké bowls, sushi, and black raspberry chip ice cream.
I truly love getting to know everyone I work with and sincerely can’t wait to work with you—whether I’m your weekly personal chef or we host an unforgettable dinner party together. I’ll bring the edible flowers.
